Welcome to Towers:
It’s going really well, everybody’s treating me well.
I'm getting used to the sauna!
Bullets, Bears, Towers: UK connection?
I'm trying to make a name for myself. This will probably my last
stop in the UK before I look to going into Europe.
|
European experience with Bears:
It was a great experience. The quality wasn’t necessarily that
much better but the execution and the very strategic game play most
definitely were. That’s good experience to bring here with me
and help others. Here’s hoping I can work something out to play
in Europe in the future. |
Working with Robbie?
Your job is to play, doesn’t matter whose coaching you,
calling the shots as long as you’re doing your job. Robbie’s
really and cool relaxed and it’s a nice environment. He’s
made me feel part of the team and it’s working out well. |
Who has impressed you so far?
Everybody, it’s everyone doing our roles, playing some D,
scoring, teaming up – we’re just playing our game,
being a collective. We haven’t won anything yet, given up
one trophy already. Most of us have won something already, we’re
all winners and now we just want more. |
Looking forward to UConn?
When it comes it comes. My focus is the next game. You don’t
look too far ahead ahead, that’s something I learnt last
year. If you look too far ahead you slip up and lose. . |
Towers have a lot of back-to-back games,
will recovery time be a problem?
Everybody has nicks and bumps, that’s basketball. I’ve
never known anyone get through a whole season without some injury
but we all know how to take care of ourselves, we’re professionals.
You do whatever it takes, even a lot of pain at times, that’s
what it’s all about, you want to win or are you going to
quit. If you want to win, you’ve got to play to win. |
Finally, what number are you?
22. They originally had me down as 23 so it got kind of confusing
out there! |
